PATEK PHILIPPE Nautilus «Jumbo» 3700/01JA

The presented timepiece is an original Nautilus Jumbo in steel & gold made in only 500 to 600 copies according to scholars. This one was produced in 1982 and sold in 1983. It comes with its original black/red leather box and its Patek Philippe extracts from the archives.

Serial/movement: 1,308,xxx/xxx.128

Dial: Patek Philippe has asked to the designer Gerald Genta to come up with a deep blue/grey dial reflecting «the true color of the ocean» for this water sports watch. The current timepiece kept its dial and its yellow gold index in an immaculate condition. The tritium luminous on both the original hands and indexes are matching and they are perfectly working (glow green and vanish).

Case: was a case and bezel! The overall condition is breathtaking. The bezel has iretained its initial thick proportions of the porthole pattern which is characteristic of the Nautilus reference. One of the last 3 digits of the case (128) can be found in the hinge of the bezel. A refined evidence proving the originality of the bezel that one can only find with Patek.

Bracelet: the thin bracelet (/11A) is in fabulous condition and is still rigid and standing up alone. The second generation clasp calatrava is matching the production year. Xx links.

An absolutely stunning example of a legendary watch that should belong to any curated collection.
