For the most delicate of us this 37.5mm timepiece is the alternative to its « Jumbo » sister the Nautilus ref.3700 (41mm). A true unisex watch! You have been warned, Madame will most likely borrow it more often that you would like. The watch proposed here is from the earlier batch of the second series with quick date set and retaining the sought after black date disc.
Movement/serial: 1.42x.xxx/x.xxx.269 (1988)
Dial: ever dreamed of a golden garage door? We got you covered! Perfect and original ridged and sun ray champagne dial. «Sigma . SWISS . Sigma» at 6h indicating the use of gold index and hands. Black date disc which is a feature of the earliest 3800. Yellow gold hour index markers filled with tritium luminous material. The hands luminous although lighter than the one of the index is reacting similarly green & vanish which means they are also tritium. Hypnotic dial.
Case: very nice and thick case revealing very limited polishing history. The 3D calatrava cross on the clasp speaks for itself. The matching 3 digits number in the hinge of the bezel with the last 3 of the case proves it is the original one. Diameter 37.5mm. Thickness 7.9mm. Weight 108g.
Bracelet: the bracelet is tight and it still stands-up. 20 links. Original Nautilus clasp.
Box & papers: original invoice from Gubelin, original guarantee and booklets and the famous Patek box for steel&gold Nautilus plus a travel pouch.
