ROLEX Daytona
Cream dial
Ref. 6263
Rolex’s best seller featuring here a subtle difference with a big eye impact: the cream dial! Not silver, not pearl but a warm milk hue. These dials tend to happen in the 6m serial of the reference which might be due to the way the dial was treated during these batches.
Serial: 6.0x.xxx (1980)
Dial: immaculate rare milky dial. Big Red « DAYTONA » right above the bottom subregister and the Τ |SWISS| Τ underneath it. All the tritium dots are present and perfect. Along with the hand set they all react well under the UV test (glow green & vanish quickly).
Case: wow. Impressive case featuring thick proportions and sharp beveled edges with satin finish still visible. Distance of the holes from the edges is large & equidistant. Diameter 37.5mm
Pushers: original pusher (no circular line) matching the period.
Mouvement: Valjoux 727, manual winding.
Bracelet: oyster bracelet 78350, 257 end links.
Box & Papers: Rolex presentation box & cover box, 1980 punched paper from a Hong Kong retailer, booklet, tag, calendar.
A rare encounter within the 626x Daytona world presented here in an outstanding condition.
