ROLEX Daytona

« Paul Newman Panda » dial

ref. 6264

One of the rarest and most desirable variant Paul Newman dial of the pump pushers era. The two-color dial so-called « Panda » here in exceptional condition. This reference had the smallest production run of all steel Daytona with only about 1700 made. Then put your assumption about how many of them were featured with the exotic dial version (aka « Paul Newman », probably about 10% of 6264) and finally how many are still in this preservation state today? Very VERY few!

Serial 2,37x,xxx (1970). Valjoux 727.

Perfect aged tritium dots and hands. Immaculate dial.

The case is extremely thick and razor sharp. Original short pushers. Caseback engraved 6241 as per usual for period when Rolex was exhausting parts of their previous references.

Oyster folded bracelet 7835/19 with 257 end links. Clasp 2 71.

Monumental watch
