ROLEX Daytona

This type of « Zenith Daytona » were made famous in 2006 by auctioneer Osvaldo Patrizzi noticing the discoloration of his watch subdials. The protection from the zapon (varnish) on those subdials was not strong enough and made them oxidize under the combined effect of humidity and obscurity (typically occuring in vault). Black dials of serial S, T, W and some U have so far reacted that way.

Serial :  S8xxxxx (1994/95)

Dial :   Fantastic condition black dial with caramel brown (and touch of purple?) subdials. Exceptional.

Case :  Very thick, so sharp that one can say the condition is close to new.

Movement : Zenith 4030 for Rolex

Bracelet :  78390 / 503 B end links. Original clasp T6 from June 1994 (seven month before the sale).

Box :  original Rolex box and cover box.

Papers :  original US guarantee with matching dial color code A30, Rolex portfolio.
