The Oyster Perpetual DATEJUST is one of the most well known watch in the world. Being the sum of many innovations of the famous manufacture, this reference is one of their « grand classic ».
Serial / mouvement number: 59xxxxx/025xxxx (circa 1980)
Dial: blessed with the « superlative chronometer officially certified » the black dial is flawless and counts all luminous dots aside its index. The cyclop plexiglass could use a polish to clean the superficial hairlines.
Case and bracelet: thick and fat the case does not show any evidence of polishing history. The fluted bezel is in good condition. The stainless steel caseback engraved 16000 is original. Very nice 62510H jubilee bracelet showing only minimal to no stretch. End links 555 (lucky!).
Movement: automatic movement with Rolex caliber 3035 featuring 27 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and a power reserve of 48 hours. It is also equipped with the « Quickset » date precision setting system, which allows for quick and easy date setting using the watch’s crown.
Box and papers: original punched guarantee, leather portfolio, box, booklet and travel pouch.
