Produced from 1958 to 1962 the 5508 is replacing the 6536 small crown.
Serial: 48x,xxx (1959)
Dial: dark chocolate dial with stardust style unveiling a brown galaxy on your wrist. Radium index have contracted and all the luminescent material is superbly uniform on both the hands and the index. Chapter ring track and lettering are both gilt. Under UV test the luminous are nicely reacting.
Case: excellent condition & thick with a balanced distance from the holes till the edge of each lugs. Original back case 5508 with « III 59 » engraded (Q3 1959) matching the serial number period.
Movement: 1530 with 25 rubis and original butterfly rotor
Bracelet: grained leather calf skin with Rolex steel buckle.
