« Underline »
Important transitional underline Rolex timepiece in its « max » version with four lines SCOC glossy dial and sublime case.
Serial: 87x,xxx (early 1963 = transition year)
Dial: Respecting international regulation for radiation Rolex had to change the luminous material of its dial BUT did not want to throw away the existing inventory. In this instance the « superlative chronometer officially certified » added after it gained this distinction is also in white/silver. Index in tritium are nicely retracted and are glowing & vanishing as they should. Hands are gilt and painted (not luminous).
