Thanks to the iconoclast Gerald Genta who had this genius stroke of pen in early 70s Audemars Piguet got its icon and most innovative watch design ever made which became and still is its best-seller: the Royal Oak. In 1983 the brand developed a Day-Date version ref. 25572 which AP improved in 1985 by adding Moon phases: the ref.25594.
Dial & case: The timepiece timeXchange is offering here is a reference 25594st (st = in steel). Its immaculate dial is a first version one (MK1) with small letters and long index with tritium luminous material. Original hands for hours & minutes also with tritium and original non luminous blued hands for subdials. The 36mm case is in remarquable condition showing a very limited (if any at all) polishing history.
