PATEK PHILIPPE Nautilus
Rose Gold 18k
For the most delicate of us this 37.5mm timepiece is the alternative to its « Jumbo » sister the Nautilus ref.3700 (41mm). It was produced in steel, steel & gold, yellow gold, white gold and even platinum. But the rarest of all metal was rose gold. Some estimate that only 6 were made out of the 25 years of production. The present timepiece configuration is one of those rare birds. With its diamonds index Madame will most likely borrow it more often that you would like! Simply gorgeous.
Dial: Fabulous deep and bright blue respecting the specifications Mr. Stern imposed to Mr Genta: « the true color of the ocean ». Sigma SWISS Sigma at 6h and diamond index. The white date disc is typical of the second generation of 3800 made. The original hands are filled with tritium and react perfectly to the UV test (green reaction quickly vanishing after exposure).
Case: very nice case with a likely very minor polishing history. The sharp 3D calatrava cross on the clasp speaks for itself. The bezel number on the hinge is matching the last 3 digits of the case serial.
Bracelet: the bracelet is tight and it proudly stands-up. 23 links. Nautilus clasp of second generation matching the date wheel.
Box & papers: A fresh extract of the archives has been ordered.
