Deep black dial associated with yellow gold offer a marvelous complementarity. The equally reflective aspects of the glossy dark surface absorbing like an eclipse the brightness of the case & bracelet provides an incomparably rich glow to the whole timepiece. Put it in short: it gives life to the watch! While designed as a tool watch, Rolex was certainly well inspired to decline its 6263-6265 reference in yellow gold. Collectors are overwhelmingly in favour of the black dial version such as the one presented here.

Dial: absolutely vibrant black dial in superb condition. All luminous plots are in place and perfectly functioning. Small loss of luminous material on 9h dot. Tritium luminous hands. UV test make them all glow green & vanish.

Case: 18k gold with satin finish all over and thick lugs. Original case back.

Pushers: MK3

Movement: Valjoux 727 with number engraved right next to it (as should most gold chronograph post 5m serial). Extremelly clean movement.

Bracelet: 18k gold oyster bracelet with 71 end links.

Box & Papers: Rolex guarantee and Rolex green box matching the production period.
