ROLEX King Midas 18k white gold
Ref. 9630

Possibly the craziest watch ROLEX ever produced. Diametrically opposed to what one can expect from the brand of the crown as we know it today. The King Midas reference 9630 is one of only 2 references with a limited edition along with the Beta21 reference 5100. Less than 800 were ever produced between 1962 and 1972 of which 144 in white gold as the one we present and the balance in yellow gold.

The King Midas was a watch like no other: first fully integrated bracelet, most expensive watch of the entire industry and also the heaviest with 208 grammes of solid gold! Named after the greek mythology king who could change everything he touched with his left hand in gold. Hence the sun shaped crown on the left side just on the tip of the case referring to an ancient temple.
